New York City native Norman Rockwell stands alone as a magazine illustrator. His distinct style captured the American spirit and American history for six decades, most notably in his thousands of Saturday Evening Post covers.
Norman Rockwell was a New York native, but spent much of his life in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The Rockwell Museum and his house and studio are about two and a half hours from Cooperstown, NY and well worth a visit.
