As timely today as when in first appeared in Liberty magazine in 1917, “Buy American-Made Toys” unites Uncle Sam and Santa Claus in the cause of supporting the Toy Manufacturers of the USA, then headquartered in New York City’s Flat Iron Building. Part of the text reads: “This Christmas make children happier with American made toys. This season- this coming New Year- resolve to support American industries-to protect American trade.” Beautifully framed in cherry, made from a tree that fell in an ice storm in 1998. A unique addition to your holiday decor.
