Zither Heaven's newest product is the Rock-it Stick™. This three-stringed instrument is a cross between a dulcimer and a guitar. The strings are tuned to D-A-D.
Because the Rock-it Stick™ is designed to play like a guitar, the melody string is at the bottom. As you fret along the bottom string while strumming all three strings, you can enjoy the graceful sounds of this instrument. Anyone who picks up one of these instruments can make a great sound right away without knowing music. It is designed to promote interest in music for children and beginners, while experienced musicians can play familiar tunes without hesitation.
For those mountain dulcimer fans, you can play this instrument on your lap. Just be aware that the strings are reversed. Be sure to use a songbook designed for D-A-D tuning.
The Rock-it Stick™ features a 23-inch vibrating string length. The neck is made from sustainable native North American solid cherry with nylon frets and steel strings. Zither pins are used for the tuning keys. The body is made from sustainable native North American solid black walnut with a Baltic birch back.
The Rock-it Stick™ includes a tuning wrench and pick.
